Title: Fire Watch
Author(s): Connie Willis
Review: Only really read the first story (where the title comes from and most worth reading), the second one is pretty boring, so I didn't bother with the rest.

Title: Looking At "Writing Black Characters"
Author(s): Ophanimkei
Review: interesting look into "good representation" discourse in two fandoms i've never been in (i saw su fandom second hand tho...). always hated the concept of "good rep", largely 'cause i would never be able to fit that. agree with this overall, it stifles creativity by taking precedence over interesting character writing. though i can understand where people who did this type of discourse came from. my sensibilities diverge from the author's in some places, things they consider offensive/problamatic i wouldn't consider (at least not inherently). also gannet is (>\\\<) ♡ ! i also looked up the other characters and i should really play this series sometime huh?
